Pied Piper Productions trains children and youth in music theatre. We provide a professional and caring environment where those who have never performed can learn the skills and discipline needed to work in theatre. Six to fourteen year olds with little or no experience can be part of the junior workshops. Those with some experience aged ten to eighteen plus, can work alongside more experienced members of the group to hone their skills in the senior workshops. Under the tuition of highly experienced professionals our students become well-trained music theatre performers some of whom go on to audition successfully for other theatrical groups and a future in theatre. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
This adapted one act junior version is perfect for the whole family. With a cast full of amazing local youth performers with beautiful songs everyone knows, fun filled choreography and entertaining acting, it makes for the perfect school holidays activity.
There are 10 performances from 11 April – 17 April including morning, afternoon and evening performances.

The Little Mermaid Jr. Auditions
Sign up now for the upcoming auditions for the 2026 Pied Piper Production of The Little Mermaid Jr.
Audition workshops will be held on Saturday 20 September, with all forms due on 5 September 2025.
To ensure a level playing field, registration in each workshop will be determined by age and/or experience. Further information is in the information pack so please read carefully.

2023 Senior Production – Shrek JR
Pied Piper Productions is pleased to confirm that the 2023 Senior Production will be Shrek JR.
Planning is already underway with auditions scheduled for October 2022 and rehearsals commencing November 2022.
Performances will be held in the April 2023 school holidays.
